With Coutinho’s goal, Barcelona defeats Valencia in the Spanish Championship

The Camp Nou was the scene of the victory of Barcelona against Valencia by 3-1 this Sunday. Kun Agüero and Philippe Coutinho entered the second half and the Brazilian also scored a goal for the Catalan team.

Barcelona go to 15 points and move up to seventh place. Valencia follows with 12 points, now in ninth place.

Valencia scored the first blow after just four minutes into the first half, with José Gayà shooting from a distance. At twelve minutes, Ansu Fati exchanged passes with Depay and tied the game for the hosts. Still at 40 minutes, Memphis Depay took a penalty with category and got the comeback. Barclona went to the locker room with an advantage.

The Valencia team came back better for the second stage, demanding good saves from goalkeeper Ter Stegen in the first few minutes. Ronald Koeman promoted substitutions for Barcelona and put the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho in the game, but the home team could not threaten with the same dynamics of the first half. Even so, the Brazilian took advantage of the opponent’s defensive system inattention and left his mark in the 39th minute.

In the final minutes of the match, the Barcelona coach also promoted the entry and debut of experienced forward Agüero.

Valencia returns to the field for the Spanish Championship this Saturday, when they host Mallorca at the Mestalla Stadium. The match will be held at 09:00 (GMT). On Sunday, Barcelona host Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. The Spanish classic takes place at 11:15 am.
