The hecatomb of absent players due to Covid-19 continues in the Bayern Munich: Leroy Sané and Dayot Upamecano on Tuesday they joined the long list of patients from the club placed in quarantine.

With now eight casualties “going well”, as stated by the “Rekordmeister”, the leader of the German championship is concerned about the possibility of not being able to have enough players for Friday’s Bundesliga restart game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The two players were checked on Monday alongside young defender Josip Stanisic. Only the result of the latter was negative.

In addition to Sané and Upamecano, Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Corentin Tolisso, Omar Richards, Lucas Hernandez and Tanguy Nianzou tested positive for the coronavirus at the end of last week after returning from their vacation.

The German Soccer League (DFL) only authorizes the postponement of a match for medical reasons if a team cannot line up at least 15 players on the match sheet.
