The club had previously announced that goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Englishman Omar Richards and Frenchmen Kingsley Coman, Corentin Tolisso, Lucas Hernández and Tanguy Nianzou were also identified with covid-19.
The German team already had to deprive themselves in December of midfielder Joshua Kimmich, unvaccinated and infected with the virus. the player was diagnosed with small infiltrates in the lungs, due to covid, and will need to continue in treatment.
However, Kimmich announced that he has reversed his decision and will be immunized against the virus. Last Monday, Bayern announced the athlete’s return to training. The midfielder has not played since November 6, when he faced Freiburg in the Bundesliga.
