Game Awards and Metacritic prepared two lists – the best and the worst games. The first category was determined by the number of prizes received, and the worst games were selected based on the ratings of the players.

The year 2021 belonged to only one title – It Takes Two. It is a game in which players play the role of a marriage transferred to the form of puppets. It Takes Two dominated the year, receiving a total of 54 awards – 43 from industry media and 11 from gamers. The second place among the best games of the year went to Resident Evil Village with 44 awards on its account. The podium is closed by Forza Horizon 5 – 28 awards. The list does not include last year’s hits such as Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042.

Konami an infamous winner
The worst games of 2021 were also selected. The Metacritic website, where you can evaluate various productions, has prepared the list. The title of the worst game of the year went back to eFootball 2022, Konami’s newest title to compete with FIF¡. , hence its very low rating – 1.4 and 25 from critics (out of 100).
Lesser-known titles have already landed in TOP10. However, it is worth mentioning last year’s misfire – GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition in the Nintendo Switch version. The game took the 6th place. The authors of the ranking add that the versions for the new generation consoles, ie PS5 and Xbox Series, were only slightly better than the “Switch” version.
