RB Leipzig, from Germany, announced that two athletes tested positive for covid-19 during the vacation period. They are: André Silva, who was in Portugal, and Christopher Nkunku, who was in France. Due to regulations in both countries, both were quarantined.

Athletes return to Germany after the quarantine ends. The team stressed that, before returning to training, they will do new coronavirus tests and undergo additional medical examinations.
Young 18-year-old Solomon Bonnah was also infected. The lateral tested positive on January 2nd and is already isolated.
Furthermore, Nordi Mukiele, Benjamin Henrichs and Dani Olmo had “unclear” results. Athletes will repeat the test this Monday and will be quarantined until the result comes out.
Recently, Europe has registered a large increase in the number of covid-19 cases. Because of this, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that all sporting events held in Germany from December 28th would take place with closed gates.
After the winter break, the german championship returns next weekend. On Saturday, Leipzig host Mainz, at 11:30 am (GMT), for the 18th round. The home owners occupy the 10th position, with 22 points.
