Ukrainian footballer hounded for post with New Year’s greetings to Putin

In Ukraine, the former football player of the national team and the ex-player of the Russian club “Amkar” Oleg Mishchenko was hounded for posting on his Instagram page the New Year message of Russian President Vladimir Putin and congratulating the Russians. The publication “Glavred” called his act “shame”.

The athlete signed the video with the phrase “Happy New Year, brothers!”, Addressing his colleagues from Russia in the club. His page is currently private, but the video and screenshot are being circulated by the media.

As TSN notes, Mishchenko “disgraced himself” by such an act. “And now the question remains – who is who’s brother?” – commented on the publication of the portal “Novini LIVE”. The footballer himself has not yet reacted in any way to the situation.

Earlier, the former Amkar midfielder Oleg Mishchenko admitted that he did not regret leaving the Ukrainian championship and went to the Russian Premier League (RPL). He also noted that he supports Ukrainian players who agreed to move to Russian clubs.
