There is a decision to withdraw Kamil Stoch from TCS! He lost his greatest asset

unexpectedly fell into a serious technical crisis. The jumper, who was pulling Polish ski jumping during November and December, even stood on the podium of the World Cup and showed many very good jumps, suddenly got completely lost.

Since Sunday’s competition in Engelberg, Stoch has not made a jump into the top ten, including training and qualifying. It was a total of twelve attempts. Stoch’s biggest problem is greater instability in flight. The jumper completely lost his greatest advantage, that is, a great flight, which he often made up for any problems in the inrun.

After the unsuccessful competition in Ga-Pa, where Stoch took 48th place, he was absolutely devastated. And it was hardly surprising. Stoch just after the first round took the keys from one of the staff cars and headed for the hotel. In the evening the team went to Innsbruck, where on Sunday the coaches and Adam Małysz, who came to the Austrian part of TCS, met. Together with Stoch, all the pros and cons were analyzed and it was decided that Stoch would start in Monday’s training and qualifying sessions.

Regain joy at the Bergisel

At that moment, Stoch himself lost his joy in ski jumping. When he didn’t make it to the second round in Oberstdorf, he even talked about some kind of relief. And we are talking about a jumper who loves jumping. He has even said many times that after his career he will maintain such a weight that will allow him to make recreational jumps. Meanwhile, after two competitions, TCS gave the impression of a person for whom the jumps might not exist. That is why the decision to cancel the competitions seemed rational. On the other hand, Innsbruck is a place that Stoch likes, and Bergisel is a hill on which the Pole always did better than on other facilities, even when he was in a worse condition. Maybe that’s why it’s worth giving yourself one more chance. And when it gets bad, Stoch will just give up the TCS final as well as another weekend in Bischofshofen.

Stoch gets tired of TCS

The three-time winner of the Tournament in Oberstdorf took 41st place, and in Ga-Pa he was 47. Kamil Stoch starts in TCS for the 17th time and has never started it so badly as now.

– It is very sad to see how Kamil gets tired. The threshold does not give him away, so Kamil has problems in flight. You can see that he is tired of it. Kamil is flying very, very slowly. And it is known that his strongest point has always been flight. He flew impeccably technically and even if he broke down on the threshold, he flew fast.
