President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave an unexpected reason for the defeat of the country’s national football team at Euro 2020. He told about this in his New Year’s video message, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, the Ukrainian team lost in the quarterfinals of the England tournament with a score of 0: 4, because Ukrainian footballers did not want to spoil the country’s relations with a strategic partner. Zelensky also noted that the team’s game united all the inhabitants of Ukraine and “made happy” the producers of the sedative.
