In Uruguay, they request the detention of player Nahitan Nández for gender violence

The complaint against Nández for “domestic, psychological and patrimonial violence” was presented by his ex-partner.

The Uruguayan Prosecutor’s Office requested the arrest of the footballer of the Italian Cagliari and the national team Nahitan Nández after he was denounced for gender violence.

This was reported this Friday by the local media Teledoce and confirmed by Efe with sources from the Prosecutor’s Office.

The complaint against Nández for “domestic, psychological and patrimonial violence” was presented by his ex-partner.

For this reason, the Prosecutor of the department (province) of Maldonado requested an arrest warrant against the 26-year-old soccer player.

However, this could not be carried out because the Cagliari player left the country this Thursday, so he will have to respond when he returns to Uruguay.

Nández is one of the usual starters of the Uruguayan team in which he debuted in 2015. In fact, he has already defended the Celeste in two Copa América and in a World Cup. (I)
