Ex-Corinthians, Argentine striker Boselli hits Estudiantes

Estudiantes announced, this Friday, the return of Argentine Mauro Boselli. The attacker, who defended the Corinthians between 2019 and 2020, signed a contract valid for one year.

For Timão, the 36-year-old forward played 67 games, scoring 16 goals and five assists. The performance, however, was not pleasing and he did not have his bond renewed by the board.

After leaving the club, Boselli took a controversial interview. He stated that he still had money to receive from Itaquera’s team and that wearing the Corinthians shirt had been a mistake.

revealed by Boca Juniors, Mauro Boselli defended Cerro Porteño, from Paraguay, last season. The return to Estudiantes, in turn, represents his third visit to the club in La Plata.

The striker has already played for the Argentine team between 2009 and 2011 – in his first year, he won the Liberators cup. Sold to Wigan, England, he ended up on loan at Estudiantes in 2012, before becoming successful at León, Mexico.
