I’m down no Barcelona, attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho is being speculated on palm trees and no Flamengo on loan. The information is from the Spanish newspaper Sport.
According to the publication, the player is interested in returning to Brazil to play more regularly. His main plan would be to secure a spot in the 2022 World Cup.
However, the figures are, in principle, out of the reality of the aforementioned clubs. Flamengo, in turn, would be willing to pay three million euros (R$19 million) of Coutinho’s salary while he defended the Rio team. The speculated period would be until June 2022.
However, the 29-year-old athlete earns around 15 million euros (R$94.7 million) per season at Barça. Thus, he would have to give up a large part of his salary to play again in Brazil.
Palmeiras, on the other hand, appears as another alternative even less likely than Flamengo. This is because Verdão, through president Leila Pereira, has already shown that it prefers focus on hiring young people.
