Listunova gymnast was denied neutral status due to a photo from the parade to May 9
The Russian gymnast Victoria Listunova was denied neutral status due to a photo from the parade on May 9. This was reported to the “Match TV” by the Russian sports gymnastics champion Daniel Marinov.
Marinov said that Listunova was a refusal and relevant documents in which the reason was called. He emphasized that it is possible to challenge the decision in the special commission of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
Earlier it was reported that 12 Russian gymnasts received neutral status to participate in international competitions. Among them are the Olympic champion in sports gymnastics Angelina Melnikova.
In July 2023, FIG announced the admission of Russians for international competitions in neutral status from January 1, 2024. Representatives of the country refused to submit applications to participate in qualification tournaments and missed the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
