The Olympic champion in speed skating, State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova appreciated the idea of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to bring to a meeting with US President Donald Trump a belt of the absolute world boxing champion Alexander Usik. Her words are given by RIA Novosti.
Zhurova called the decision strange. “We must agree, and not demonstrate some kind of power. Trump does not need such a show, ”she said.
On February 28, Zelensky came to Washington to meet Trump. As a gift, the Ukrainian politician brought Trump to the championship belt of Usik. During the visit, the belt was next to the Ukrainian delegation.
Usyk later said that all championship belts are at his house. He explained that Zelensky gave Trump a special belt. “I know what kind of belt this is, I just can’t say anything to anyone,” Vusik added.
