The Russian skier Vyacheslav Vedenin made an offer to marry Elizabeth Yeremeeva after the finish of the Skiathlon at the Russian Championship (Czech Republic) in Kazan. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
After the race, the athlete knocked down, handed a wedding ring and a bouquet of roses to the skier and made an offer. Yeremeyeva agreed. “We have known each other for a year, we met at competitions, to make an offer at competitions … It will definitely be remembered,” said Vyacheslav Vedenin, son of a two -time champion of the Olympic Games 1972.
Skiatlon ended with the victory of Natalia Terentyeva. Yeremeyeva is located in 31st place.
Earlier, Russian skater Dmitry Soloviev made a marriage proposal to the gymnast Dina Averina. In pairs with Solovyov, the athlete performed in the show “Ice Age”.
