Biathlonist Rastorguev will miss the rest of the season due to injuries inflicted by the coach
Latvian biathlete Andrei Rastorguev on his Instagram (prohibited social network in Russia; belongs to META, recognized as an extremist organization and prohibited in the Russian Federation) said that he would miss the rest of the season due to injuries inflicted by his coach Ilmars Brisis.
“Unfortunately, my last start this season has already passed. The finger is broken, but Andrei is not, ”the athlete wrote, publishing a photo from the hospital ward.
Earlier it became known that Brisis resigned from the post of coach of the Biathlon Latvian team. The specialist did this right during the World Cup among juniors held in Sweden.
Previously, Rastorguev accused the Brisis of beating during the World Cup-2025. According to the athlete, the incident occurred on February 20 after he turned to the coach to discuss skiing last year. The specialist rejected the prosecution.
