In December 2024, the International Union of Skatytsy (ISU) announced the admission of Russians for the selection for games-2026. In qualification competitions that will be held in Beijing in September 2025, they will be able to take part in one athlete or pair in each discipline in neutral status.
Russian athletes were forbidden to perform at tournaments under the auspices of ISU in March 2022. The last major start for domestic skaters was Beijing games.
