Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to the admission of Russians to the International Federation of Sports and Snowboard (FIS). The IOC considered that the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where 15 Russians took part in a neutral status, became a successful precedent.
Russians and Belarusians do not participate in international competitions by decision of FIS. The order entered into force in March of 2022 and will act until further notice.
