CSKA CEO Babaev thanked Hungary for blocking the EU sanctions

The General Director of the Moscow CSKA Roman Babaev turned to Hungary, which blocked the sanctions of the European Union (EU), initiated by the Government of Estonia. His words are given by TASS.

Babaev thanked the representatives of the country. “Many say that sport outside the policy, for once, I saw that this is reliable information, confirmation of this thesis,” he emphasized.

Earlier, Vsquare reported that Hungary blocked the sanctions against CSKA and Rostov. It is noted that restrictions could be introduced on the initiative of the Estonian government of November 2024.

Since the end of February 2022, most Russian athletes have been suspended from international tournaments on the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee. Some athletes got the opportunity to perform on the world arena in neutral status, some of the Russians changed citizenship and represents other countries.
