Vsquare: Hungary blocked sanctions against football clubs CSKA and Rostov
Two football clubs from Russia, which were excluded from the package of sanctions of the European Union (EU) thanks to Hungary, became known. It is reported by vsquare.
According to the source, Hungary blocked sanctions against the Moscow CSKA and Rostov. It is noted that restrictions could be introduced on the initiative of the Estonian government of November 2024.
The fact that Hungary has achieved the exclusion of two clubs in the Russian Premier League (RPL) from the 16th package of EU sanctions became known on February 19. Also, the Olympic Committee of Russia (OKR) did not get into the sanctions list.
Since the end of February 2022, most Russian athletes have been suspended from international tournaments on the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee.
