Biathlonist Domracheva: It is incorrect to compare the results of B and Bjorndalen on the World Cup
The four -time Olympic champion in Biathlon of the Belarusian Daria Domracheva reacted to the record of the Norwegian biathlete Johannes Be by the number of gold awards in individual races at the World Cup (World Cup). Her words are given by the “Match TV”.
The former athlete considered it incorrect to compare the result of Be and her husband Ulee -Einar Bjurndalen. She drew attention to the fact that a fewer awards were played out at the world championships. “For me, of course, Ule -Einar will always be a number of one,” said Bjorndalen’s wife.
At the 2025 tournament, which takes place in the Swiss Lenzersheida, Johannes Bea won the 23rd gold at the world championships. Thus, he became a record holder in this indicator and overtook Bjornadalen.
Russians and Belarusians do not participate in international competitions by decision of the International Biathlon Union. The order entered into force in March of 2022 and will act until further notice.
