Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva reacted to replace the coach of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team. Her words are given in the Telegram channel of the Academy “Heavenly Grace”.

Kabaeva congratulated Tatyana Sergaeva on her appointment and wished the specialist success. “Tatyana Sergaeva is a coach with a tremendous experience who raised more than one generation of the strongest gymnasts,” she emphasized.

Earlier, the President of the Russian Gymnastics Federation (FGR) Oleg Belozerov announced the appointment of Sergaeva. She replaced Irina Wiener in this post, who has been the head coach since 2001.

Sergaeva is a honored coach of Russia. For 17 years, she was the senior coach of the Russian team in group exercises. In addition, she worked at the Academy of Alina Kabaeva “Heavenly Grace.”

Wiener announced the departure from the Russian team earlier, on February 12. She added that she would transfer the gained experience to trainers engaged in the preparation of future generations of stars.
