Tarasova: The Norwegians criticizing Russia’s admission will not be able to influence the ISU position

Tarasova admitted that she had never seen the Norwegian skaters and did not hear about them. “But it turns out that they have leaders. There are no skaters, but there are managers. This is how it happens, ”she said.
The specialist expressed the hope that the Norwegians would not be able to influence the position of the International Skating Union (ISU). “Because the International Federation is not a private shop of the Federation from Norway, but an organization that is responsible for the development of figure skating in the world. And without Russian skaters, development does not work, ”concluded Tarasova.
Earlier, the President of the Norway Figure Skating Federation of Mona Adolfsen said that Norway and several more countries will oppose the admission of Russian skaters for the selection for games-2026.
In December 2024, ISU announced the admission of Russians for the selection for games-2026, which will be held in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina-D’Ampezzo. In qualification competitions, they will be able to take part in one athlete or pair in each discipline in neutral status.
