According to a source, a 57-year-old athlete diagnosed an aggressive malignant brain tumor. It is noted that she was administered intravenously antitumor drugs and released home with the condition of observation by an oncologist. The condition of Masterkova is evaluated as satisfactory.
In the summer of 2024, Masterkova already went to the hospital. Then she was hospitalized with suspicion of a stroke that was not confirmed, but a tumor was found in her head.
According to Mash, later the tumor was removed with microsurgically. In addition, Masterkova passed several courses of chemotherapy. Because of this, she began to problems with vision, cardiovascular system and joints.
Masterkova – two -time Olympic champion of 1996 at distances of 800 and 1,500 meters. Its assets also have gold medals of the 1999 World Cup and the European 1998 Championship at a distance of 1,500 meters.
