The Russian chess Federation called the conflict of Karlsen and Dvorkovich wrong
The Executive Director of the Russian Chess Federation, Alexander Tkachev, appreciated the call of the sixteenth world chess champion Magnus Karlsen to the head of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Arkady Dvorkovich to leave the post of president of the organization. His words are given by NSN.
“Politicians are zero, this is an exclusively commercial story,” Tkachev said. He called the conflict wrong, as the title of world champion belongs to FIDE.
Earlier, Carlsen called on Dvorkovich to resign. According to him, he must leave a post due to the lack of an agreement between the federation and organizers of Freestyle Chess tournaments regarding the holding of the world championships.
In response, Dvorkovich said that he was not going to resign. In his opinion, Carlsen incorrectly interprets some discussions.
