Korostelev noted that there are no Russian symbols on training overalls and only sponsors are indicated. “Therefore, I do not know whether they recognized the combination of the Russian national team or not. There was no such supernatural one. No one was suitable, did not ask anything. Everything here is calm, ”he shared.
A group of Russian skiers, which, in addition to Korostelev, included Daria Nepryaeva, Sergey Volkov and Alexander Bolshunov, is collecting in Italy. Earlier, the head of the International Ski -Sports and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and presidential candidate of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Johan Eliash advocated the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes for world tournaments in neutral status.
The restrictions on the performance of Russians at international ski tournaments were imposed in March 2022. From that moment on, representatives of Russia have been suspended from the competition.
