Yuri Borodavko, coach of the three -time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov, explained the superiority of Europe over Russia as a place to prepare an athlete. His words are given by Sport24.
According to the expert, abroad in the middle of the Middle Ages there are circles of various complexity with a length of 15 to 30 kilometers. “And in the place where we are now training, unfortunately, the circle of only 5 km. In this regard, of course, we are very losing, ”said Borodavko.
Earlier, Svetlana Zhurova, deputy of the State Duma and the Olympic champion in speed skating, explained Bolshunov’s departure to Europe. According to her, now in Russia there are no suitable conditions.
The departure of Bolshunov to Europe for training according to the individual plan became known on January 30. Borodavko noted that the trip was agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and CSKA.
