A cosmic stunt by a goalkeeper. He broke the world record of Tim Howard from the World Cup

The most titled Turkish club in the current league season is failing a lot. After 19 league rounds, Galatasaray is only 10th in the table, 19 points behind the leader Trabzonspor. The fight for the national cup was supposed to be a consolation, but the team will not be successful in it as well.

Incredible emotions in the match 1/16 of the Turkish Cup final

Tuesday’s clash in the 1/16 cup finals initially went according to Denizlispor’s wishes. After the first half, the visitors were leading 2-1 with hits from Ilhan Depe and Brahim Darri. Alpaslan Ozturk scored the only goal for the hosts, and although the Istanbul club had an overwhelming advantage, it was deficit in the dressing room.

After the break, the hosts continued to attack, which quickly benefited them. Halil Dervisoglu and Mostafa Mohamed scored two goals in 120 seconds to lead them 3-2. When it seemed that the game would end with their victory, Alpaslan Ozturk saw a second yellow card in the fifth minute of extra time, while in the ninth minute of extra time, Victor Nelsson scored an own goal of 3-3.

Great attitude of the Denizlispor goalkeeper

The decision was to be made, but she did not choose a winner either. Therefore, there was a need for better players from Denizlispor, who performed their attempts flawlessly. Ogulcan Caglayan did not use his attempt in the ranks of Galatasaray.

The absolute hero of the visiting team was goalkeeper Abdülkadir Sünger, who recorded 18 successful parades throughout the game. What’s more, in the penalty shootout he used one of the eleven himself, and also saved Caglayan’s shot, thanks to which Denizlispor advanced to the next round of the cup.

Sünger’s feat saw him break the world record for shots saved in a single match. Until now, he belonged to the American, who in the match of the 1/8 final in 2014 with Belgium recorded as many as 16 defenses.

After the final whistle, the hero of Denzilispor admitted that he was sure of winning in the penalty shoot-out. – When the penalty kicks started, I was confident in my abilities. I told my colleagues that we would win it. I also said that I would defend something, no matter who was shooting. I defended one eleven and we got promoted. I am very happy – said Sünger in an interview with the “Hurriyet” station, who wrote that the goalkeeper “built a wall” in his goal.
