Loginova: Rusada is working on the issue of Kamila Valieva’s return to training
Veronika Loginova, Director General of the Russian Anti -Doping Agency (Rusada), answered the question of the upcoming return of the disqualified skater of Kamila Valieva for training. Her words are given by RIA Novosti.
Loginova announced the study of the issue of returning Valieva. “The international standards and the World Anti -Doping Code stipulates that the athlete in disqualification can begin training a little earlier than the dates of the end of the disqualification period,” she explained.
In November last year, Loginova announced plans to involve Valiev in the fight against doping. The functionary noted that the organization is trying to speak the same language with youth.
In January 2024, the sports arbitration court (CAS) disqualified Valiev for four years. In the sample of the skater from December 2021, traces of prohibited trimetasidine were discovered. She was deprived of the gold medals of the European Championship, the Russian Championship and the team of the Olympic Games – 2022 (together with the entire national team).
