The viewer of the athletics tournament at the University of Colorado, USA, died from a hammer blow. It is reported by CPR.
During the throwing competition, the athlete unsuccessfully threw up the hammer, as a result of which the shell broke through the protective fences and fell on the audience. The main blow fell on a 57-year-old man. An ambulance was called to the place of the incident, but the doctors failed to save the victim. It is known that he was the father of one of the athletes.
“We are shocked by this terrible incident and focused on assisting all the victims,” commented the situation of the university rector Jennifer Sorotnet.
The investigation of what happened continues. Representatives of the university assured that before nothing like this happened in sports competitions.
Earlier, the death of the 28-year-old Russian handball player was reported. The pupil of the Perm Bears club Ilya Kozhevnikov did not become during military service in the zone of special operation in Ukraine.
