The ceremony took place at the Eiffel Tower as part of the “Day of Justice” — an event to present awards redistributed as a result of doping incidents. The gold medals went to the US team, silver to the Japanese team. The bronze went to the Russian team, but they were not invited to the ceremony.
Earlier, the Russian team appealed to the Visiting Panel of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS Ad Hoc Division) with a demand to cancel the award ceremony for the US and Japanese teams. The Russians wanted to cancel the event because they did not receive an invitation to it. According to the athletes, this violated their rights as Olympic medalists.
Now few people communicate with the IOC, everyone has fallen out. But the dialogue must continue, defend the interests of our athletes. Otherwise, we were not invited to the Olympics – we do not communicate. And in the end it turns out that our athletes were not awarded. We must move forward, the negotiation process in the sports community must be maintained.

The medals of the team tournament were redistributed due to the disqualification and annulment of the results of Russian Kamila Valieva. The Russian team moved from first to third place. All appeals in the case were rejected.
