Polish canoeist Borowska allowed to compete in 2024 Games after doping ban
Polish canoeist Dorota Borowska has been allowed to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris after being disqualified for doping, the International Testing Agency (ITA) reported on its website.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport Anti-Doping (CAS ADD) found that Borovskaya had committed an anti-doping rule violation, but the circumstances of her case were classified as “not guilty.” Therefore, she is free to participate in Olympic competitions.
The athlete was previously provisionally suspended from the Games after her June doping test found traces of clostebol. The canoeist proved that the banned substance entered her system through a cream she used to treat her dog’s paws.
The 2024 Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
