Swimmer Ceccon says Tokyo Olympics are better organised than Paris Games
Italian swimmer Thomas Ceccon compared the level of organization of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with the 2024 Games in Paris. His words are quoted by La Repubblica.
According to him, the competitions were better organized in Japan. “There is no air conditioning in the village, it is unbearably hot, the food is bad. Many people moved out because of this. First it rains, then it gets hot, we don’t get enough sleep. The water in the pool is slow. You get tired of all this, it leaves its mark,” the athlete said.
At the Paris Games, Ceccon won gold in the 100m backstroke and bronze in the 4x100m freestyle relay. In Tokyo, the Italian won silver in the same event and also took bronze in the 4x100m medley relay.
The 2024 Olympics will end on August 11. Russians are competing in the competitions as neutrals.
