Triathlete Shabalina criticizes living conditions in Olympic Village
Kazakhstan’s Ekaterina Shabalina, who competes in triathlon, criticized the living conditions in the Olympic Village at the 2024 Games in Paris. Her words are quoted by Sport24.
The athlete noted that she expected more. “For example, I missed my swimming training in the pool due to logistical problems. And in our block, where the team of athletes from Kazakhstan lives, there is no hot water,” Shabalina said.
Earlier, several other athletes criticized the living conditions in the Olympic Village. In particular, American tennis player Cori Gauff, Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus and Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic were dissatisfied.
The Olympic Games will last until August 11. Russian athletes are competing in the competitions as neutrals.
