Japan Continues Lead in 2024 Olympic Medal Table
The fourth day of the 2024 Olympic Games has ended in Paris, with the Japanese team continuing to lead the medal count, a Lenta.ru correspondent reports.
A total of 12 sets of awards were contested. Japanese athletes won one gold medal: Takanori Nagase won in judo in the weight category up to 81 kilograms. The second place is occupied by the Chinese team, which has six gold, six silver and two bronze medals. In third place are the Australians with six gold, four silver and one bronze medal.
On the fourth day of competition, Russians were represented only in tennis. Daniil Medvedev won the second round of singles, Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider won the doubles.
The 2024 Olympics are taking place in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Russians and Belarusians have been admitted to the Games as individual neutral athletes. A total of 15 Russian athletes will compete in the French capital.
