Senegal criticizes 2024 Games for not allowing Russia and double standards
Senegal has criticized the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris for not allowing Russia to participate and for double standards. RIA Novosti quotes Thierno Alassane Sall, leader of the Republic of Values party.
According to the African politician, the Olympics most strongly symbolize the arrogance of the West, which imposes its only true view of civilization on the world. “To exclude Russia for the conflict in Ukraine and at the same time to accept with open arms Israel, suspected by the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) of genocide and condemned by the International Court of Justice,” he explained his position. Sall also condemned the blasphemy at the opening ceremony.
