Amar Sylla, new pivot for Surne Bilbao Basket
The inner combo Amar Sylla (Dakar, 2.06m, 22 years old) becomes a new player of Surne Bilbao Basket. The player comes from the Basketball Lowen Braunschweig German, with whom he averaged 4.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and a PIR of 7.3 last season.
A Real Madrid youth player, Sylla was crowned champion of the 2019 Junior Euroleague forming a fearsome inside partnership with Usman Garuba. From the white team, he made the jump to the Belgian first division, where in his second season with Filou Oostende he would achieve 9.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1 block and 11.6 PIR.
From Belgium to Lithuania, where with Nevezis he managed to complete an excellent season, becoming one of the sensations of the league. His averages, 11.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2 blocks and 17.2 PIR, making him the best rebounder and blocker of the competition. At just 20 years old, he was already knocking on the doors of the ACB. Real Betis gave him that first opportunity, playing 22 games averaging 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds. Sylla is also a international with the Senegal national team.
