Sterling does not rule out leaving Manchester City

Winger Raheem Sterling may be leaving the Manchester City. That’s because the player, in an interview with Business of Sport US Summit, revealed that he does not rule out leaving the club in the future.

“If there was an opportunity to go elsewhere, I would be open to it right now. As an English player, all I know is the Premier League. I always knew that maybe one day I would love to play abroad and see how I would face this challenge”, he said.

“I should learn a language. I really like French and Spanish,” he added.

Sterling enjoyed his peak at City in the 2019/20 season, when he scored 31 goals and passed on to another ten. However, the player was unable to maintain the good performance. This season, he played in ten games (four as a starter), hit the net once and gave an assist.

This Saturday, Pep Guardiola’s team will face Burnley, for the eighth round of the Premier League. Currently, the Citizens are in third place with 14 points, two less than leaders Chelsea.
