World No. 1 Jannik Sinner Withdraws from 2024 Olympics
World No. 1, Italian Jannik Sinner on his social media page X announced that he had withdrawn from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The 22-year-old tennis player’s tonsillitis was the cause. He said his doctor had strongly advised him to refrain from training. Sinner said the Olympics were one of his main goals for the season, so he was very disappointed.

The 2024 Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Russian tennis players Medvedev, Mirra Andreeva, Roman Safiullin, Pavel Kotov, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Elena Vesnina and Diana Schneider will compete in the Games as neutrals.
