IOC Starts Broadcasting 2024 Olympics for Russians on Its Website
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has begun broadcasting the 2024 Summer Games in Paris on Russian territory. The broadcast is available on the organization’s website.
The first to be broadcast were men’s rugby sevens and football competitions. To watch the tournament, you must register on the site.
The Olympic Games started with the men’s football tournament. The first teams to play in the group stage were Argentina and Morocco, and Uzbekistan and Spain. Players under 23 are taking part in the tournament.
On July 13, Sports.ru reported that Russian TV channels would not broadcast the Olympics for the first time in 40 years. After that, it became known that the IOC would provide Russian viewers with the opportunity to watch the Games on its website.
The Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11. The IOC has allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the 2024 Games as individual neutral athletes.
