Polish jumpers failed again. A massive decline in the second series. Disappointment in front of TCS

Polish jumpers have not had such a dramatically poor season in the second league for a long time. On Monday, four of them advanced to the second round of the competition, but almost all of them finished in the third ten.

After the first series, the Poles had reasons to be satisfied. Out of seven, five advanced to the second series. The best performer was Jan Habdas, who was 9th at the halfway point of the competition, only 6.9 points behind the podium. Maciej Kot was 20th, and the other Poles were in the third ten – Aleksander Zniszczoł was 22nd, 24th, and Klemens Murańka was 30th.

Only Kacper Juroszek (117 meters, 40th place) and Arkadiusz Jojko (88.5 meters, 56th place) were not promoted to the second series. However, it is necessary to take an allowance for wind conditions. The wind was blowing very hard in the back, and the players were getting from 1.1 points to even 37.1 points.

In the second series, the Poles were doing even better than in the first. Klemens Murańka moved up four positions and finished 26th. Aleksander Zniszczol moved up 3 places and finally took 19th place. The biggest promotion was Stefan Hula, who was promoted by 11 places, thanks to which he was 13.

Jan Habdas missed an opportunity for a great result

Jan Habdas performed a bit worse, after a jump of 114.5 meters, he dropped significantly in the competition classification and was classified in 21st place. Maciej Kot maintained his position after the first round, finally taking 20th place.

In the end, the competition was won by the Norwegian Sondre Ringen, who advanced from 5th position after a jump of 127 meters. He overtook the Austrians – Clemens Aigner and Michael Hayboeck.

Bad news before the 4-Hills-Tournament

This form of support for the World Cup staff is bad news for Michał Doleżal. If someone from the six named for the 70th 4-Hills-Tournament is not successful, it will be difficult to replace him with anyone. And if we look at the results of the pre-Christmas Polish championship, we can see that Stefan Hula and Klemens Murańka did not lose much to Dawid Kubacki or Jakub Wolny, who went to Oberstdorf. The only question is whether Hula and Murańka on Monday presented themselves in the same style as in the national yard in Zakopane. If so, you may be concerned about the form of Kubacki and Wolny.

The 70th edition of the 4-Hills-Tournament will start on Tuesday in Oberstdorf, Germany. Individual competitions will be broadcast by TVN and Eurosport 1. The qualifications, in turn, will also be available for viewing in Eurosport.
