Playing away from home, Tottenham drew with Southampton by 1-1, this Tuesday, in a game valid for the 20th round of the English Championship.
The hosts went ahead after just 25 of the first half, with James Ward-Prowse goal. However, at 39, Mohammed Salisu fouled inside the area and the referee signaled penalty – the athlete’s Southampton took a second yellow card and was sent off. Harry Kane did not waste the collection and leveled the match.
The English forward returned to the net at the beginning of the second half, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
With this stumble, Tottenham dropped to sixth place in the Premier League, while Southampton occupies 13th place.
In the next round, Spurs face Watford, far from their domains, this Saturday. Southampton, on the other hand, host Newcastle on Sunday.
