Moscow Spartak has suspended forward Alexander Sobolev from training with the team. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the red-whites’ sports director Tomas Amaral.
The decision was made by the club’s management. The reasons for the incident are not specified.
Earlier it became known that St. Petersburg Zenit will pay 12 million euros for Sobolev’s transfer. It is noted that the parties initially agreed on a transfer for less than 10 million. However, later the Moscow club raised the basic amount to 10 million and added 2 million in bonuses.
Last season in the Russian Premier League, Sobolev scored five goals and made six assists in 27 matches. His current contract with the red-and-whites runs until the summer of 2026. The Transfermarkt portal values the 27-year-old footballer at 7.5 million euros.
