Russian judges allowed to work at Olympic artistic gymnastics tournament

Russian judges Andreev and Andrianova allowed to work at the 2024 Olympics

Russian judges Dmitry Andreev and Lyubov Andrianova have been allowed to work at the Olympic artistic gymnastics tournament in Paris. This was reported to TASS by Valentina Rodionenko, a member of the presidium of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (RSGF).

According to her, the referees are members of the technical committees of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). “There were concerns that Andreeva and Andrianova would not be allowed to work at the Olympics. It is important for us that Russian specialists have the opportunity to see everything with their own eyes. This experience is worth a lot,” Rodionenko said.

Last September, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) awarded Russia three spots each in the men’s and women’s competitions at the 2024 World Cup stages. The athletes were supposed to compete as neutrals, but the Russians refused this and did not take part in the Olympic selection.

The 2024 Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Russians and Belarusians were allowed to compete as individual neutral athletes.
