Former Spain goalkeeper Pepe Reina has signed a contract for next season with Como, the team recently promoted to Serie A and managed by his former ‘La Roja’ teammate Cesc Fabregas, the Italian club said in a statement on Thursday.
The 41-year-old goalkeeper has an extensive career in which he has played in several European championships and has played for big clubs such as Barcelona, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Milan and Lazio.

Last season he played for Villarreal, who did not renew his contract, which ended in June this year.
At Como, he is expected to replace compatriot Pau López, who left Olympique de Marseille to sign for the modest Italian side.
Reina, who made 36 appearances for ‘Roja’, was part of the teams that won Euro 2008, the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
