Ukrainian athletes allowed not to greet Russians during 2024 Games
The President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit stated that Ukrainian athletes were allowed not to greet Russians during the 2024 Olympic Games. His words are quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.
“We have agreed with international federations that it is necessary to congratulate during a meeting and also to greet after a match, that we do not greet each other, do not shake hands,” Gutzeit said. In his opinion, the main thing is that there are no provocations against Ukrainian athletes.
