THE Barcelona announced, on Tuesday, that left-back Jordi Alba tested positive for covid-19. The club informed that the athlete is in good health and is already in quarantine.
“Jordi Alba has tested positive for covid-19 and will not participate in today’s training session. The player is in good health and is isolated at home. The club has informed the competent authorities,” published the team.

This was the third case of coronavirus detected at the Spanish club this week. In addition to Alba, defender Daniel Alves and defender Clément Lenglet were also infected.
Jordi Alba will be a major embezzler in Xavi Hernández’s team in the upcoming matches, as the full-back is the absolute starter at Barça.
The next appointment of culés will be against Mallorca this Sunday, at 17:00 (GMT), away from home, by the spanish championship.
Barça is in seventh place in the tournament, with two points less than Rayo Vallecano, first team within the qualifying zone for the next Champions League.
