3.78 million Russian TV viewers watched the 2024 European Championship final
The final match of the 2024 European Football Championship between the national teams of Spain and England was watched by 3.78 million Russian TV viewers, as reported by Rating Bookmakers with reference to the research company Mediascope.
According to the portal, the match between the Spanish and English national teams was watched by 2.8 percent of Russians, and the share of viewers of the match from the total television audience was 13.4 percent. It is noted that the Euro 2020 final was watched by 8.55 million people – twice as many as the decisive match of the 2024 tournament.
The European Championship was held in Germany from June 14 to July 14. In the final, the Spanish team defeated England with a score of 2:1. The Spanish team won all seven matches in the tournament, only one victory – in the 1/4 finals over Germany – was achieved in overtime.
