Olympic champion Melnikova said that sport brings her main income
Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, Russian Angelina Melnikova has revealed the sources of her income. Her words are quoted by Match TV.
“The main income is sports. Salary, the national team, the region? Yes! Also some advertising and some events: master classes, some other sports, speaking and so on,” Melnikova said. She noted that she does not complain about her income, she has apartments in Moscow and Voronezh, as well as a car.
Melnikova also said whether she would watch the Olympic Games in Paris. “Why? To be sad once again? To sit on the couch and watch, thinking that I could have been there, but I didn’t go?” the athlete shared.
Melnikova is the 2020 Olympic champion in the team all-around, a silver medalist of the Games in the same event, and also the winner of bronze medals in the individual championship and in floor exercises. At the 2021 World Championships, the Russian became the absolute champion.
