Trainer talks about timeframes for body shaping

Akulina Bakhturina, senior trainer of the international network of ballet and stretching studios LEVITA, told Lenta.ru how long it takes to tighten your figure and how to speed up this process.

Bakhturina explained that the time frame depends on the goal and a combination of other factors. “If you plan to lose two extra kilos and tone your muscles, this will be one period. If you have a global goal, for example, to lose 15 kilos or build up active muscles, then you will need much more time and energy,” she said.

As the specialist noted, in any case, one should not expect quick results. She emphasized that all express methods, quick diets and fasts lead only to a temporary result and additional stress for the body, which can then be compensated by overeating. As a result, a person’s health deteriorates – weight constantly changes, skin and hair deteriorate.

To tone up your figure and achieve sustainable results without stress, the trainer advised a comprehensive approach. “It is necessary to combine training and nutrition, it is important to maintain water balance, and it is also advisable to get recommendations from a doctor,” said Bakhturina. She advised working out three times a week, alternating strength training and stretching, sticking to the same daily and sleep routine, eating a balanced diet and monitoring water balance.

Earlier, Bakhturina gave advice on exercising in hot weather. The specialist recommended not to exercise outdoors when the air temperature is above 27-30 degrees Celsius.
