Kylian Mbappe signs five-season contract with Real Madrid
French striker Kylian Mbappe has signed a five-season contract with Real Madrid, the club’s website reported.
The ceremony, attended by club president Florentino Perez, took place at Real Madrid’s base. Mbappe received a replica of the stadium, a watch and a jersey with the number nine as a gift.
Mbappe announced his move to Real Madrid on June 3. “I am so happy and proud to join my dream club,” he said of the transfer. It was also reported that Mbappe would receive a €150 million signing bonus and would earn €15 million a year.
Mbappe is a 2018 World Cup winner with the French national team, a Nations League winner, and a seven-time French champion with PSG and Monaco. The 25-year-old’s transfer value is estimated at 180 million euros.
